What is Zoo Med Wipe Out 1 used for?

Wipe Out 1 is designed to clean, disinfect and deodorize compatible terrariums, small-animal cages and other animal-enclosure surfaces specified on the product label.

What bacteria does Wipe Out 1 kill?

The supplied product information states that it kills Salmonella choleraesuis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa when used according to the complete label directions, including the required wet contact time.

Do I need to remove my animal before using it?

Yes. Remove all animals, food, water, bedding and removable accessories before applying the disinfectant.

Should the enclosure be cleaned before disinfecting?

Yes. Remove visible waste, dirt and organic residue before applying the disinfectant. Excess debris can interfere with effective surface disinfection.

How long should Wipe Out 1 remain on the surface?

Keep the treated surface visibly wet for the complete contact time printed on the product label. Do not estimate or shorten the required contact time.

Do treated surfaces need to be rinsed?

Follow the product label's rinsing directions for the specific surface and enclosure. Food-contact and water-contact items should be thoroughly rinsed when directed before being returned to use.

When can my pet return to the enclosure?

Return the animal only after all label steps are complete and the enclosure has been rinsed when required, fully dried, ventilated and supplied with fresh substrate, food and water.

Can Wipe Out 1 be sprayed directly on animals?

No. Wipe Out 1 is an enclosure-surface disinfectant and should never be applied directly to reptiles, small animals or other pets.

Can it be mixed with another cleaner?

No. Do not mix this product with bleach, ammonia, detergents or other cleaning and disinfecting products unless the label specifically instructs you to do so.

Can it be used in an aquarium filled with water?

Do not apply the product to an occupied aquarium or allow it to enter habitat water. Use it only on enclosure types and surfaces specifically permitted by the product label.
