These scarves are made by program participants at the Destiny Foundation in Kolkata, India. Kolkata is home to Asia's largest red light district, Sonagachi, where over 10,000 women have been trafficked or forced by poverty into the brothels. Destiny Foundation was founded with the mission to end slavery and sex trafficking through the economic empowerment of women.
